Expert Group

About the Expert Group

The Breaking Barriers to eGovernment project encourages participation from as many stakeholders as possible. A key component of this strategy is a multidisciplinary and authoritative eGovernment expert group.

The expert group is made up of individuals from government, academia, thinktanks, industry and others who are involved in addressing the legal, organisational, technological and other barriers to expanding effective eGovernment services using the Internet.

The role of the expert group is to steer the project by:

  1. Providing direction on, and practical illustrations of, key barriers to eGovernment;
  2. Providing input into the inventory of legal, regulatory, and organisational barriers to eGovernment;
  3. Identifying good practice in overcoming barriers and suggesting case studies;
  4. Promoting the study within their own administration (and others when the opportunity arises); and
  5. Commenting on drafts of the project findings (e.g. case studies and the final project report).

Members of the expert group have the opportunity to meet face-to-face twice a year at the same time as the project workshops. In between these face to face meetings discussions and the exchange of documents and information are facilitated via a password protected area of the website.

Additional applications to join the expert group are welcomed. Please contact the project manager if you are interested in joining.
